Winding − The Difference Automatic: Winds automatically through wrist movement. When the watch has stopped, approximately 20−30 turns of the crown are sufficient. The design prevents “over-winding.” Manual Winding: Wind by hand daily until you feel distinct resistance. Do not continue winding beyond this point.
Setting the Time (same for both) Pull the crown out to the outermost position. For precise setting: Stop the second hand at 12 o’clock, advance the time slightly and then turn it back to the desired minute. Push the crown back in exactly at the top of the minute.
Setting the date (same for both) Use the middle crown position (quick-set).
Important: Do not set the date between 9:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m., as the mechanism is in the process of switching over.
